MMGG is a non-profit company that is here to change the world for the better - Positivity, not profit.

I am Harvey an ex-international rugby league player and two time cancer survivor. I founded Making My Grass Greener after cancer 1.0, when my rugby career was cut sort at 23 years old, with the intention of improving my life and others through positivity and action. MMGG has managed to fund many community projects here in the Uk and parts of Africa, mainly involving athletes and sport. I am an ambassador for Teenage Cancer Trust and I regularly speak for them at events while continuing to fund-raise for them and others. This year MMGG has donated over £3000 after I completed an ultra marathon while on chemotherapy, June 2023.

MMGG trades on good morals and here we believe in good people, branding ourselves a Robin Hood company. MMGG sells ethical and sustainable products, hosts events/fundraisers in order to donate profits to those who need it. Our goals are to feed the homeless, fund community sport and breed positive mindsets. We are working on building a community & family, where people care for each other and the world around them.

Our mission is simple, spread positivity as far & wide as possible! We truly believe that to make real change we must be thinking positively and help others to do the same. “Time is the only currency.”

We want to make as little negative impact when it comes to behind the scenes logistics as possible. We use green courier, which makes it more expensive to ship our items but does not harm the environment as much as other couriers. MMGG offsets its carbon with climate care and the tree app and we make as many eco friendly choices as possible.

Our main project for 2023, which we are fundraising for, is sport in Africa. So far it has been a roller coaster working out how we can help people in need over there. We teamed up with Rugby charity in Ghana and decided to sponsor William, who is a part of the Rugby League for the national team, the Ghana championship winning team based in Accra. William’s commitment to the sport as a volunteer was incredible - This couldn’t go unrecognised. We are now planning to start a permanent soup kitchen in Ghana and William travels to remote villages to provide aid and support, and our team aims to visit Accra & the surrounding areas ASAP and make this part of MMGG grow.

We are also collecting unwanted clothes in good condition to be sent out, any enquiries please contact Harvey, harvey@makingmygrassgreener.com.

As of March 2024 Harvey is now raising funds for his cancer treatment abroad. While our projects are still ongoing and won’t be affected all sales from the store will now go towards this! Thank you!
